I've never really liked small talk, like the prescripted dialogue of "how are you," with the somehow necessary response of "good, how are you?". It takes several interactions with a person to discover more about a person than just where they're from, and what they think of the weather. Because of this, I started to develop an obsession with conversation starters and finding ways to connect with people in creative new ways. I don't claim to come up with the idea of conversation starters... you can find lists all over the internet. But all of the lists and decks you find typically have super cliche questions like: “Who’s your celebrity crush?” I wanted to create a deck full of questions that you’ve NEVER been asked before. For example: “What would you name the baby twins of your worst enemy?”
